Product Overview

Appligenics Linguist enables an application design to be translated to any foreign language. The design can be sent, along with the Linguist application, to translation agencies or overseas offices for off-site translation.

First, Linguist imports all the customer-facing text from Designer, including help text, row and column descriptions and list boxes. This text is now available for translation in any method you choose. (Third-party automated translation tools may be used as a first step in translation, but their translation quality may not be acceptable for a final product.) After the text has been translated, Linguist exports it into Designer where it can be quickly re-generated and deployed.

Commonly, Linguist is used to translate your product for customers, but can also be used for foreign technicians to review technical documentation.
